Meet Hoptunia I Get your Hop on!
We were chatting about what our May seasonal beer would be, when Nick Bush (Drifter Brewing Co) said "I feel like something fressssssh".
And the idea for Hoptunia was born!
In most circumstances beer is made using hops that has been kiln dried and then compacted into tiny pellets of hoppiness. What makes Hoptunia so audaciously cheeky is that she is brewed using hops that have come off fresssssshhhh from the vine.
We searched far and wide to find the freshest of the fresh hops so that you could really savour the flavour. " By using 20 kilograms of whole cone wet hops, this beer is more subtle and earthy than the usual bitter IPA. It is filled with autumn citrus fruit notes and a slight pine overtone" (Yuppiechef.com)
- Sunshine gold in colour
- Fresh sweet citrus fruit aroma with zesty peel and subtle pine resin notes
- Fruity flavour with a hint of toasted malt
- Blend of SAB wet hops
